Elements Academy’s Jiu Jitsu Journey

Head Coach and Owner Ali Monfaradi spent over a decade cementing his legacy in Bahraini sports history. Ali spent 5 years training at the Alliance Headquarters in Sao Paulo, Brazil, under legendary professor Fabio Gurgel. He eventually received his black belt from him, becoming the first and only Bahraini to do so and went on to become a gold medalist on many international stages including at the coveted IBJJF World Championship.

Career Highlights

  • Ali Monfaradi has won over 150 medals in his Jiu jitsu and martial arts career.

  • in 2018, Ali Monfaradi was ranked the 3rd best jiu jitsu athelete in Asia in 2018, making him the only martial arts athlete to achieve this honour in Bahrain and the region.

  • Ali Monfaradi also became the 1st and only GCC martial arts athlete to win the IBJJF world championship

  • In 2021 Ali Monfaradi became the only Arab national to be awarded as the best Jiu jitsu athlete in Asia by the UAEJJF

  • In 2022 Ali won the JJIF World Jiu Jitsu Championship

  • In 2023 won the AJP Masters World Championship

Ali Monfaradi’s Jiu jitsu Journey

  • 2006: Ali Monfaradi started his jiu jitsu career in Bahrain at 12 years old

  • 2011: Monfaradi moved to Brazil to train under legendary martial arts coach Fabio Gurgel

  • 2012: Monfaradi won the IBJJF World Championship

  • 2016: Ali received the Medal of Honor of the 1st degree for his achievements in the martial arts sport in Bahrain and beyond from HM the King of Bahrain

  • 2017: Ali Monfaradi won gold at the Asian Indoor Games

  • 2019: Elements Jiu Jitsu Academy was opened

  • 2021: Finalist at the Abudhabi World Professional Championship

  • 2021: Became the number 1 ranked jiu jitsu player in Asia

  • 2022: JJIF World Champion

  • 2023: AJP World Masters Champion

  • 2024: 6x JJIF Asian Champion
